Introduction

READ BEFORE INSTALLATION

- Never unscrew the banjo bolts of the hose to reorient them

- Do not bend the hoses at a 90° angle

- Do not route the hoses near a place where it can rub or be pinched

- Do not route the hoses near extreme heat-generating parts (ie: exhaust)

- Do not over tighten the metal collars on the reservoir (torque to 6 lb/in)

- Make sure the reservoir and hose stay clear of any moving parts

(ie: swingarm, chain)

- Hoses can be secured to the frame using zip ties to avoid contact with moving parts

- Make sure that the shock bolts and metal collars are tightened properly before riding

  1. Lift the vehicle off the ground with a jack or on a stand. Remove the stock shock absorbers from the vehicle (refer to the manufacturer’s documentation).
    • Lift the vehicle off the ground with a jack or on a stand. Remove the stock shock absorbers from the vehicle (refer to the manufacturer’s documentation).

    • Install the Elka shock absorbers bolting the top mount first. The banjo (connected to the shock head) must face towards the front of the vehicule. Orient the hose towards the left side of the vehicule.

  2. The rebound adjuster (adjustable using a screwdriver) located at the bottom of the shock should face the top of the quad for convenient access.

  3. . Install the reservoir with the banjo bolt (connected to the reservoir) facing towards the top of the vehicle.  Orient the hose towards the front of the vehicule.  The reservoir must be attached to the frame using the provided rubber holders and metal collars. Do not over tighten the metal collars on the reservoir (torque to 6 lb/in). Make sure to route the hose according to the pictures.  Remove the plastic cover on the left side of the vehicule to pass the reservoir.  The compression adjustment knobs should be facing the bottom of the vehicule for convenient access.  Re-install the plastic cover.
    • . Install the reservoir with the banjo bolt (connected to the reservoir) facing towards the top of the vehicle. Orient the hose towards the front of the vehicule. The reservoir must be attached to the frame using the provided rubber holders and metal collars. Do not over tighten the metal collars on the reservoir (torque to 6 lb/in).

    • Make sure to route the hose according to the pictures. Remove the plastic cover on the left side of the vehicule to pass the reservoir. The compression adjustment knobs should be facing the bottom of the vehicule for convenient access. Re-install the plastic cover.

    • Refer to the Elka owner’s manual to set the ride height and for adjustment procedures.

    • Installation is complete.

  4. Lift the vehicle off the ground with a jack or on a stand. Remove the stock shock absorbers from the vehicle (refer to the manufacturer’s documentation). Install the Elka shock absorbers bolting the top mount first with the piggyback reservoirs towards the top with the adjustment knobs towards the outside of the quad.
    • Lift the vehicle off the ground with a jack or on a stand. Remove the stock shock absorbers from the vehicle (refer to the manufacturer’s documentation).

    • Install the Elka shock absorbers bolting the top mount first with the piggyback reservoirs towards the top with the adjustment knobs towards the outside of the quad.

    • Refer to the Elka owner’s manual to set the ride height and for adjustment procedures.

    • Installation is complete.

  5. Lift the vehicle off the ground with a jack or on a stand. Remove the stock shock absorbers from the vehicle (refer to the manufacturer’s documentation). Orient the hose towards the front of the vehicule. Install the reservoir with the banjo bolt (connected to the reservoir) facing towards the rear of the vehicle.  The reservoir must be attached to the frame using the provided rubber holders and metal collars. Do not over tighten the metal collars on the reservoir (torque to 6 lb/in).  Make sure to route the hose according to the pictures.
    • Lift the vehicle off the ground with a jack or on a stand. Remove the stock shock absorbers from the vehicle (refer to the manufacturer’s documentation).

    • Install the Elka shock absorbers bolting the top mount first with the banjo bolt (connected to the shock head) facing towards the outside of the vehicule. Orient the hose towards the front of the vehicule.

    • Install the reservoir with the banjo bolt (connected to the reservoir) facing towards the rear of the vehicle. The reservoir must be attached to the frame using the provided rubber holders and metal collars. Do not over tighten the metal collars on the reservoir (torque to 6 lb/in). Make sure to route the hose according to the pictures.

    • The compression adjustment knobs should be facing the front of the quad for convenient access.

    • Refer to the Elka owner’s manual to set the ride height and for adjustment procedures.

    • Installation is complete.
