  1. Lift the vehicle off the ground, then remove front tires. Remove the front skid plate to have access to the sway bar. Remove the bolts holding the sway bar to the chassis.

  2. Remove sway bar link and brake line bracket from steering knuckle. Remove the nuts from the upper and lower shock mounts Remove the nuts from the upper and lower shock mounts

    • Remove the nuts from the upper and lower shock mounts

  3. Remove upper arm ball joint nut and seperate it from steering knuckle. Raise the upper arm to allow space to remove and install the shocks.

    • Raise the upper arm to allow space to remove and install the shocks.

    • Install Elka shocks with the hose fitting facing the front of vehicle (right side shown).

  4. Install supplied upper bolts but don't fully tighten them. Install the lower mounting bolt then tighten all the bolts. Install the upper arm.
    • Install supplied upper bolts but don't fully tighten them.

    • Install the lower mounting bolt then tighten all the bolts.

    • Install the upper arm.

  5. With the longer supplied bolts, and using the counter bore holes, fix the reservoir bracket in the sway bar mounting holes (right side shown). For Elka shocks without réservoir, use supplied rectangular spacers to move the sway bar forward. Use the spacer with an "L" on left side, with the arrow pointing forward the vehicle. Do the same with the "R" spacer on the right side. Slide reservoir holding collars into bracket.
    • With the longer supplied bolts, and using the counter bore holes, fix the reservoir bracket in the sway bar mounting holes (right side shown).

    • For Elka shocks without réservoir, use supplied rectangular spacers to move the sway bar forward. Use the spacer with an "L" on left side, with the arrow pointing forward the vehicle. Do the same with the "R" spacer on the right side.

    • Slide reservoir holding collars into bracket.

  6. Sit reservoir into bracket, locating it as high as possible while aligning the hose as close to the chassis as possible. Make sure the hose is not rubbing anywhere and do not overbend it. then tighten the collars.

  7. Install the sway bar supports with the short supplied bolts into the new Elka reservoir bracket. Install sway bar link and brake line bracket in place.

  9. Remove  the rear oem shocks. BE SURE REMOVING OEM WASHER UNDER THE UPPER SHOCK MOUNTING as shown by red Arrow. Apply some supplied grease on the 2 rubber isolators.

    • Apply some supplied grease on the 2 rubber isolators.

  10. Install lower bolt first without tighten it now. Compress shock, and install upper mount of the Elka shocks. Must have 1 isolator under and 1 over the shocks mounting. Don't tighten the nut. Hose fitting must face rear of vehicle on right side, and face the front of vehicle on left side.
    • Install lower bolt first without tighten it now.

    • Compress shock, and install upper mount of the Elka shocks. Must have 1 isolator under and 1 over the shocks mounting. Don't tighten the nut.

    • Hose fitting must face rear of vehicle on right side, and face the front of vehicle on left side.

  11. Install the right side reservoir holding bracket first with the bolt located on top of the frame . After this bolt is tighten, drill a 10mm hole (7/16") in the frame to secure bracket with the provided nylon-lock bolt. MAKE SURE YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS AND YOUR MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY ALLOW YOU TO MODIFY THE FRAME OF YOUR VEHICLE BEFORE DRILLING IT. If you dont want to drill your frame, you can use the provided steel collar to secure bracket.
    • Install the right side reservoir holding bracket first with the bolt located on top of the frame .

    • After this bolt is tighten, drill a 10mm hole (7/16") in the frame to secure bracket with the provided nylon-lock bolt. MAKE SURE YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS AND YOUR MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY ALLOW YOU TO MODIFY THE FRAME OF YOUR VEHICLE BEFORE DRILLING IT.

    • If you dont want to drill your frame, you can use the provided steel collar to secure bracket.

  12. On the left side, use lower existing bolt to fix bracket, and use provided nylon-lock bolt in the existing hole to secure it.   13. Place right reservoir into holding clamps as shown as far back as you can. Torque clamps bolts at 12 foot/pounds. (Right side shown) Tighten upper and lower shock bolts. Ensure hose is closer possible to the frame and is not overbend or twisted. Note that the shock can be rotated to point hose fiting closer to the frame.

    • Tighten upper and lower shock bolts.
