  1. Lift the vehicle using a jack or stand so that the skis and track are off the ground. Refer to your vehicle's owner manual for specific instructions on how to remove the stock shocks. Keep your original bolts to re-use when installing your new Elka shocks.

  2. Install the front new Elka shocks with the reservoir ( on Stage 4-5 ). Stage 4 and Stage 5 models, the lower shock eyelets should be installed with the rebound adjuster oriented towards the outside of the vehicle. If needed, you can turn the lower eyelet to orient properly.
    • Install the front new Elka shocks with the reservoir ( on Stage 4-5 ).

  3. Remove the limiter strap and idler wheels Lift the rear of the snowmobile in such a way that the track is not touching the ground. Unload both torsion spring by removing the gold pin shown on the picture.
    • Remove the limiter strap and idler wheels

    • Lift the rear of the snowmobile in such a way that the track is not touching the ground.

    • Unload both torsion spring by removing the gold pin shown on the picture.

    • Remove the stock suspension.

  4. Install the stock sleeve through the bottom eye with the plastic spacer on both side of the eyelet. The lower shock eyelet rebound adjuster screw must be oriented toward the rear of vehicle,
    • Install the stock sleeve through the bottom eye with the plastic spacer on both side of the eyelet.

    • The lower shock eyelet rebound adjuster screw must be oriented toward the rear of vehicle,

    • Install the Elka center shock with piggyback reservoir at the top and pointing towards the right side of the snowmobile as show on the photo.

  5. Install the Elka rear shock with the reservoir at the bottom and oriented towards the rear of the snowmobile as shown on the photo. The rebound must be facing upwards. Re-install the two torsion spring.
    • Install the Elka rear shock with the reservoir at the bottom and oriented towards the rear of the snowmobile as shown on the photo.

    • The rebound must be facing upwards.

    • Re-install the two torsion spring.

    • Lower the snowmobile completely and re-install the limiter strap.
