    • NOTE: All steps must be in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s service manual.

    • Secure the vehicle with a jack with corresponding weight lifting capabilities.

    • Lift the vehicle in such a way that the front and rear wheels are not touching the ground. This will remove the weight on the shocks. If you don’t have a lift strong and stable enough, do the front and rear end separately for safety reasons.

    • Remove the top and bottom shock bolts and then remove the stock shocks.

  1. Before installing the Elka shocks, make sure the left and right shocks are on the proper corresponding side of the vehicle:

    • The left side shock has two notches machined on the head at the top of the shock. These LEFT side shock has the piggyback reservoir on the RIGHT side when the notches are facing you.

    • The right side shock has two notches machined on the head at the top of the shock. These RIGHT side shock has the piggyback reservoir on the LEFT side when the notches are facing you.

  2. The piggyback reservoirs should be pointing towards the REAR of the vehicle, with the machined notches facing OUTSIDE the quad.
    • The piggyback reservoirs should be pointing towards the REAR of the vehicle, with the machined notches facing OUTSIDE the quad.

    • Install the shocks in position and bolt the top mounting bolt first, then the lower bolt. Torque according to the vehicle manufacturer’s spécifications.

    • Installation is complete.
