  1. Lift the vehicle using a jack or stand so that the skis and track are off the ground. Refer to your vehicle's owner manual for specific instructions on how to remove the stock shocks. Keep your original bolts to re-use when installing your new Elka shocks. Install the front new Elka shocks with the reservoir ( on Stage 3-4-5 ) or Schraeder nitrogen valve ( on Stage 1-2 ) at the top of vehicle. ( left side shown ). On Stage 2, Stage 4 and Stage 5 models, the lower shock eyelets should be installed with the rebound adjuster oriented towards the outside of the vehicle as shown by the blue Arrow on the photo ( left side shown ). If needed, you can turn the lower eyelet to orient properly.

    • Install the front new Elka shocks with the reservoir ( on Stage 3-4-5 ) or Schraeder nitrogen valve ( on Stage 1-2 ) at the top of vehicle. ( left side shown ).

    • On Stage 2, Stage 4 and Stage 5 models, the lower shock eyelets should be installed with the rebound adjuster oriented towards the outside of the vehicle as shown by the blue Arrow on the photo ( left side shown ). If needed, you can turn the lower eyelet to orient properly.

  2. Remove nuts on limiting straps to release tension on center shock. Loosen limiting straps shaft bolt to help removing tension on lower center shock shaft
    • Remove nuts on limiting straps to release tension on center shock.

    • Loosen limiting straps shaft bolt to help removing tension on lower center shock shaft

    • Remove outside idler wheels to have access to lower shaft bolt.

    • Remove upper and lower shock bolts. Keep all the oem hardware for next step.

  3. Install OEM lower shaft, washers and sleeves on the Elka lower eyelet. Install Piggyback reservoir toward the right of vehicle. If needed, turn the lower eyelet to orient rebound adjuster toward the rear of vehicule. Install Piggyback reservoir toward the right of vehicle. If needed, turn the lower eyelet to orient rebound adjuster toward the rear of vehicule.
    • Install OEM lower shaft, washers and sleeves on the Elka lower eyelet.

    • Install Piggyback reservoir toward the right of vehicle. If needed, turn the lower eyelet to orient rebound adjuster toward the rear of vehicule.

  4. Remove both rear torsion springs holders to remove tension on rear shock.                                                                        THOSES SPRINGS ARE UNDER TENSION, BE CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING THEM Remove central idler wheels assy to have access to lower rear shock bolt. Keep all the OEM hardware to install Elka rear shock. Remove central idler wheels assy to have access to lower rear shock bolt. Keep all the OEM hardware to install Elka rear shock.
    • Remove both rear torsion springs holders to remove tension on rear shock. THOSES SPRINGS ARE UNDER TENSION, BE CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING THEM

    • Remove central idler wheels assy to have access to lower rear shock bolt. Keep all the OEM hardware to install Elka rear shock.

  5. Install oem linkage assy as the OEM configuration on Elka shock head. Install Elka shock reservoir facing the ground. Turn Elka eyelet to orient the rebound adjuster upper side ( as shown by green Arrow ). Install eyelet with supplied sleeve and plastic spacers.
    • Install oem linkage assy as the OEM configuration on Elka shock head.

    • Install Elka shock reservoir facing the ground.

    • Turn Elka eyelet to orient the rebound adjuster upper side ( as shown by green Arrow ). Install eyelet with supplied sleeve and plastic spacers.

    • Re-install all the previous removed parts, and torque all bolts as manufacturer's specs.
