Lift the front of the snowmobile in such a way that the skis are off the ground.

Remove the stock shocks according to the procedures recommended by the manufacturer.

Install the Elka front shocks with the piggyback reservoir pointing towards the front of the snowmobile as shown.

The lower shock eyelets should be installed with the rebound adjuster oriented towards the outside of the vehicle as shown.

We recommend tightening the bolts to factory spec with the weight on the skis.

Remove the limiter strap.

Lift the rear of the snowmobile in such a way that the track is not touching the ground.

Remove the spring supports to remove any tension on the torsion springs.

Remove the stock suspension.

Remove the shaft assembly from the bottom of the OEM centre shock.

Liberally greasing the bushing area and including the two washers supplied with the Elka shock absorber.

Reinstall the lower shaft on the center Elka shock in the reverse order it was remove.

When assembling the lower shaft, place the provided spacer between the eyelet and its contact surface. Do this on each side.

Install de center shock with the head facing up and the reservoir facing the right side, away from the limiter strap.

The lower shock eyelets should be installed with the rebound adjuster oriented towards the rear of the vehicle as shown.

Torque all fasteners to factory spec using blue loctite on the lower shock bolts.

The upper bolt has a Nylok thread locking system. And can be reused two or three times before being replaced.

Remove the rear shock according to the procedures recommended by the manufacturer.

Install the Elka rear shock with the reservoir at the bottom and oriented towards the front of the snowmobile as shown on the photo.

The lower shock eyelets should be installed with the rebound adjuster oriented downwards of the snowmobile.

Reinstall the spring supports

Lower the snowmobile completely and re-install the limiter strap

The centre shock preload will be set by the installer or customer AFTER installation in the sled. We recommend shortening the limiter strap from it’s stock full long position, AND THEN resetting the CTS shock preload back to 0-3mm.
